Chief Executive Officer

Jim has led Cancer Support Community (CSC) since 2006. He first came to Cancer Support Community, then The Wellness Community, as a caregiver while his wife, Yvonne, was in treatment. Under Jim’s direction, CSC has become the largest provider of cancer support services in the Bay Area (and one of the largest in North America), serving over 2,000 people each year.

Chief Mission Officer

Margaret has been with Cancer Support Community since 2001. She is responsible for managing mission delivery and maintaining the high quality of the Cancer Support Community’s comprehensive cancer support services. She develops new program components, supervises the clinical team, and ensures that program services are available and accessible to as many people affected by cancer as possible. A licensed marriage and family therapist, Margaret has extensive experience in working with the chronically ill and their loved ones, including those with cancer, diabetes, and other health challenges.

Chief Development Officer

Peter joined Cancer Support Community in 2018. He has extensive expertise in corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, marketing, and software development. Prior to joining CSC, he spent 17 years running global employee giving and volunteerism for Wells Fargo.

Libby has been with Cancer Support Community since 2018. As a fundraising professional, she has worked previously with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and American Cancer Society.

Chair, Board of Directors

Patrick first came to know Cancer Support Community as a member and cancer survivor. He currently leads CSC’s impressive Board of Directors. In his professional life, Patrick is First Vice President at CBRE in San Francisco.


Chair, Capital Campaign Cabinet

Eric is a philanthropic leader in the Bay Area, sitting on the Board of Directors for several local organizations, including Cancer Support Community. He is Principal at Rudney Associates, a wealth management firm in Alamo, California, with over 25 years of investment planning and asset management experience.


Chair, Lafayette Community Council

Don is a Cancer Support Community member and Lafayette resident. In 2018, Don was named Lafayette’s Citizen of the Year. His generous spirit and energy has led him to support many of Lamorinda’s great projects including the California Shakespeare Festival and Lafayette Library and Learning Center. Don is an avid Rotarian (Lamorinda Sunrise), where he served as both president and national advisor to the Rotary Foundation.
